Common Trinomial Expressions in English

Now Check the meaning of the following trinomial and write an example for each expression.

  1. blood, sweat and tears ------extremely hard work; unstinting effort.
    "he's going through all the blood, sweat, and tears involved in getting a PhD"
  2. cool, calm and collected ----alm and composed, self-possessed. For example, No matter what the board decides, you have to appear coolcalm, and collected in front of the stockholders . This alliterative synonym for cool as a cucumber dates from the late 1800s.
